We Are About Breaking Down Barriers

Dear Friends,

Audre Lorde's quote, “I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own" is speaking to us this week.  At the intersection of celebrations of freedom and Independence Day, are also the multiple and harmful Supreme Court rulings. We are aware how difficult it is for so many in our community to celebrate or even relax when dehumanizing events are so recent and raw.

We recognize that the stripping away of the institutional protections and initiatives to address the historical and systemic realities for marginalized communities and individuals was a long-term and strategic effort.  This recognition pushes us to continue the fight, to continue to build our movement.  A movement that is sustainable, strategic, intentional, inclusive, compassionate, and just.

We are committed to always bringing people together to create a more socially just and compassionate society and state. We focus on these efforts because we believe in the power of people.  We believe so strongly in this power because we have seen time and time again that people can resist, can fight, can win.  Join us in this work and movement!
