An invitation and so much more!
Dear advocate for gender justice,
The Women's Foundation of Oregon is seeking applicants to participate on a Research Advisory Group, supporting the work to update the ground-breaking 2017 Count Her In report.
WFO's Research Committee is in the middle of a process to build an updated knowledge resource that can shape policy, programs and services to make the lives of women and girls better. Your perspective, lived experience, and/or professional expertise reviewing the work of the Research Committee will help ensure we acknowledge and consider multiple identities and the collective wisdom of our communities.
Research Advisory Group Members will be asked to review elements of the Research Committee's work (timeline, research format, interim drafts and final project products/deliverables) and provide suggestions in a timely manner at key points throughout the process.
They may also be instrumental in connecting the Research Committee to key groups, interested parties, communities, and individuals throughout the research process for opportunities like focus groups and/or interviews.
They are encouraged to aid in the collection of resources (material, financial or human) and to provide assistance in the avoiding anticipated, potential pitfalls.
Participation will be primarily online and largely on your own time. No required in-person meetings are anticipated.
Research project management, monitoring and execution of the project will follow the requirements and standards set forth by the Women’s Foundation of Oregon's Research Committee and organizational leadership.
Please complete the interest form and we will follow up in mid-late July with more information. If you have questions, please contact us at research@w-for.org.
Thank you for your support of the Women's Foundation of Oregon and gender equality in Oregon.
With gratitude,
Patty Unfred, WFO Research Committee member and WFO Board Member
Karen Garrison, WFO Research Committee member
We are proud to be part of this critical conversation with Nonprofit Association of Oregon.
In today’s challenging funding and service landscape, many nonprofits are exploring mergers and partnerships to boost sustainability, reduce duplication, consolidate resources, and deepen community impact.
If your nonprofit is considering or exploring a potential merger, join our free 90-minute webinar, "Consolidating for Greater Impact: Exploring Nonprofit Mergers." Executive Directors Jim White (NAO) and Libra Forde (Women's Foundation of Oregon) will discuss the key factors behind consolidation and provide guidance on transitioning from discussions to achieving crucial alignment in finances, legal matters, governance, and organizational culture.
This webinar will be recorded and shared with all registered participants.
